I'm pretty sure I should feel bad about this....

I just logged into my account on the college's website to check my financial aid status. Lo and behold, it's been processed and approved.

And I'm getting a pell grant.

For $1950.

For the Spring Semester.

Yes, you read that right. I'm getting almost two grand for one semester. I'll get two checks for ~$950 between the end of March and the end of May. This money is mine, to use as I see fit. It's earmarked for "educational expenses" (books, lab fees, etc..). You can, however, extrapolate "educational expenses" out to mean babysitter fees (can't go to school if I have the kids), gas (gotta have it to get to campus), or even food (can't concentrate on an empty stomach). Plus, the cost of the babysitter would be a tax writeoff.

I really like this college thing.
