Damn.
Linux just vomited hard. So now my box won't boot. It's gonna just sit until I get a new box built. Then I'll wave a dead frog over it, chant, and hope I can recover some data from the HD.
Yes, I realize it's a software error, and fixable. I also realize I'm waaaaay too rusty with linux, and I don't want to risk losing the data I have on there. Also, the power supply's getting ready to tank, and I'm sure there are various other components circling the drain due to heat damage (fucking shuttle cases). So I'm gonna piecemeal a new tower (with assloads of fans, like the last tower) and hope for the best.
Until such time as those funds come available, I'm working from Misty's laptop. Anyone wanna donate a case (or some munnies?) to help me get started on a replacement?

you know what really tickles me about this? after what you said last night involving the mom and the smoking and the laptop/new phone. and here you are. but I have no munnies to donate hon, but I hope you get it fixed soon.
